Is the preview a guarantee of what the finished job will look like?

No, and Tallie never lets it pretend to be. Every preview is an AI concept — a visual approximation of the scope you quoted, not a rendering of the actual materials, textures, or conditions on your job. Each image carries a permanent, baked-in label reading "AI concept — illustrative only, not a guarantee of finished work," and that disclosure is repeated in text on the estimate your customer views and on the PDF. Before a preview can be attached to an estimate, you have to confirm it matches your scope, because you are the one representing the work — not us, and not the model.

Where does the 25–40% close-rate number come from?

From the visualizer industry, not from Tallie. FacadeColorizer's writeup on contractor closing rates and Remodel AI's roundup of contractor tooling both report that contractors running a visualizer during the in-home consult see roughly 25–40% higher close rates and about 15% higher average job value. Those are vendor-published figures about their own users, so treat them as directional rather than as a promise. We have not independently measured close rates for Tallie customers, and when we do, we'll publish that instead.

How many previews do I get?

Accepted Answer

Starter includes 10 previews a month, pooled across your whole account. Pro is unlimited, subject to fair use. Your free trial includes 3, which is enough to run a real sales call and see whether it moves the needle. A preview is counted per estimate, not per image — once one is open on an estimate you get up to 10 versions on it, and opening the same estimate again from the job never charges you twice.

What kind of work does this handle?

Accepted Answer

Anything with a visible result you'd photograph before and after: exterior and interior painting, siding, roofing, decks and fencing, concrete and pavers, landscaping, cabinets and countertops, flooring, bath and kitchen refreshes. It is weakest on work that's mostly hidden — rough-in plumbing, panel upgrades, ductwork — because there's nothing for the customer to see either way.

Do I need special photos?

A normal phone photo in daylight is enough. Stand where the customer would stand, get the whole area you're quoting in frame, and skip the close-ups. Tallie keeps the camera angle, framing, and time of day from your original photo, so the after looks like the same house on the same afternoon.

Can I use the images in my own marketing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they're yours — but the disclosure label is part of the image on purpose and shouldn't be cropped out. Presenting an AI concept as a photograph of work you actually completed is deceptive advertising, and that's on you, not on the tool that made it. Once the job is done, use the real after-photo.
